Transferring money to your NAB account

Once your application has been processed, you’ll receive an email (normally within 2–5 working days of us receiving your application) with your:

  • New account number
  • Swift BIC/Bank ID and some information about the account
  • Details of your named banker in Australia
  • Details on how to set up your pre-arrival, view only, internet banking

Once you have your NAB bank account number, you can transfer money straight into your account. It’s important to note you’ll only be able to make transfers or withdraw money from your account once you’ve been formally identified by your banker in Australia.

Before you set up your first online funds transfer, you’ll need to visit your local bank and complete an international outward payment form with the following details:

  • NAB Account Number
  • NAB Account Name
  • NAB Head Office Address: 500 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000, Australia (NAB Head Office)
  • NAB Swift Code: //NATAAU3303M

All the information required to transfer funds to your NAB Account is also provided in your Account Confirmation Letter, which you will receive once your account has been opened.
